Poland builds dry port on Ukraine border - 06.04.2022

Ukraine's Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Solskiy held an online meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Republic of Poland Henryk Kowalczyk on Tuesday, 5 April.

As reported, during the meeting, the parties reviewed the issues related to the establishment of undisturbed shipments of agricultural products from Ukraine to export-dependent markets. The ministers also discussed the possibility of alternative logistic ways of their shipment via transit corridors across the EU.

"We are grateful to our Polish colleagues for their full support in facilitating the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products to the EU countries," comments Mykola Solskiy.

The parties discussed the terms of bilateral certification of animal products for the markets of both countries, as well as the process of notification of exported consignments to improve border and transport procedures.

 

 

 

 

"Poland is currently working on the development of a dry port at the border to improve the throughput capacity for exports of Ukrainian agricultural products, especially to third countries," Henryk Kowalczyk says.Ministers agreed to continue cooperation on these issues and to support the Ukrainian people in the challenging times of russian aggression.

Previously reported that in March Ukrzaliznytsia provided for the shipment of around 670 thou. t of grains.
