EU and China increased the import of Ukrainian soybean oil in January-June

In January-June 2020, Ukraine exported soybean oil the amount of more than 125.3 mln USD, down by 4.8% in monetary terms compared to the same period of 2019, informed the State Customs Service.

The decline was based on the lower supply of soybean oil to Africa – 2.3 mln USD (down 85%). At the same time, the earnings from the export of soybean oil to the EU increased by 17.11% to 52.4 mln UDS, and to Asia – by 0.32% to 70.5 mln USD.

China was the key importer of Ukrainian soybean oil – 57.8 mln USD (up 63.2%). The share of China in the total export of the product reached 46% in the reporting period.

Poland was on the second place with the share at 38.8% – 48.6 mln USD (up 19.2%). India took the third position with the share at 7% – 8.7 mln USD (down 63%).
