According to APK-Inform, the bid prices of exporters for rapeseed have been declining in Ukraine since mid-November.
The prices are pressured by weakening of demand from importers, who have accumulated sufficient stocks for mid- and long-term operating. Moreover, the supply of rapeseed is higher on the global market compared to last year due to larger production in the EU and Canada. However, limited supply of Ukrainian rapeseed prevented more sizable price decrease. Ukraine has virtually exhausted its export potential, with shipments already amounted to 2.9 mln tonnes in 2022/23 MY.
Since mid-November, the bid prices of rapeseed decreased by average 40 EUR/t to 360-435 EUR/t FCA as of December 14.
