Prices of Ukrainian corn increased slightly in ports - 07.02.2023

According to APK-Inform, last week, the indicative FOB prices of Ukrainian corn in the ports of the Black Sea and purchasing prices of traders in seaports strengthened somewhat.

The prices of corn on the foreign market was supported by higher export pace compared to other crops and the gradual recovery of Chinese demand after the New Year holidays. At the same time, some companies that needed to form large-tonnage volumes to perform previously concluded contracts raised their prices on CPT-port basis. However, the trend was short-term and had an insignificant effect on the general price situation. In addition, traders quickly covered their needs, because there was sufficient number of corn offers, despite some restraint of sales by farmers.

The indicative prices of corn for supply in February from Black Sea ports strengthened somewhat and reached 255-280 USD/t FOB.

The purchasing prices of traders in the ports of Great Odesa and the Danube rose to 190-220 USD/t CPT-port against 190-210 USD/t CPT-port a week earlier
